CAREERS

At Davis & Associates, we are always considering motivated individuals to add to our Houston Immigration Attorney Team. The perfect candidate is hard working, sympathetic to immigration situations, and can understand the needs of the immigrant community in the US. We may or may not have an opening at present, but are always thrilled to receive resumes from those who may be interested in working with us. No experience is required, but priority will be given to those who already have law office experience, and preferably immigration law practice experience.
The Positions We Offer Are As Follows:
Paralegal
Paralegal positions within our firm are largely responsible for supporting the attorneys. Drafting applications, cover letters and indexes as well as engaging with clients to obtain and follow up on required documentation are considered core responsibilities. Also, the position requires assuring deadlines are met, processing correspondence received from clients and the government, and piecing together evidence packages for filing.
Legal Assistant
Legal Assistants primarily support the Paralegals and administrative positions. Duties vary widely based on what is needed at the time. Typical tasks will include data entry, mail processing, client intake, phone calls to clients to confirm receipt of government correspondence, interview or hearing appearances, and making photocopies.
Associate Attorney
This position consists of case management as well as significant client communication and interaction during case preparation and consultation. The position calls for concise and memorandum writing, drafting technical replies to government inquiries and objections, and analyzing information provided by our clients. Court and interview appearances at the immigration court and the immigration offices are also a part of the experience. Must be a licensed attorney in the US, and position duties are based on experience.
Administrative Staff Positions
As with any service business, we have occasional openings involving receptionist duties, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and other administrative functions that will vary periodically depending on the needs of the firm.
We welcome anyone with an interest in working for our team to submit a resume and cover letter specifying the position desired. We will review and keep it on file, and if we are proactively aiming to fill a position, we will consider each relevant application before scheduling interviews.
